How To Plan Your Wedding And Reception

Posted on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in love

Planning for your wedding is as important as your wedding day. Yes, your wedding day is very special to you, that is why you do your best to prepare yourself physically so that you will look gorgeous on that day. But if you fail on planning, you are planning to fail. And you don’t want that to happen.

Since the wedding day is the most important event in a girl’s life, a large amount of time should be given to the wedding planning since it will spell out the outcome of the event. The couple should put into consideration first how grand or how simple their wedding will be. Most couples do this by deciding ahead of time how many people are going to attend. If you want to save on money, invite only your family and closest friends. But if you want to go all out, go ahead and contact all the people in your 250-person sphere of influence!

The next thing to do is to hire a wedding planner. She’ll carry most of the load for you so that you won’t have to worry about the simple details such as where you’re going to buy the flowers and the cake. Doing the planning on your own is not quite a good idea and is very stressful in the first place.

Next, sit down with your partner to discuss and decide who should be in the entourage or not. An entourage normally consists of a Maid of honor, a Best man, a few Bridesmaids/Groomsmen, Primary and secondary sponsors, and of your course the child attendants such as the flower girls, the ring bearer, the coin bearer, and the bible bearer. Decide whether you will have all these roles filled or just the important ones.

In choosing your theme, go for uniqueness! You don’t want to go along with the crowd with all their traditional church weddings. But it’s really okay if you do. Just make sure you put a personal touch so that your guests will never forget your wedding day.

Now, in making your invitation, make sure it goes along with your theme. Try a message in a bottle invitation if you’re having a beach wedding, or have it in a scroll if your theme is some kind of medieval. The wedding invitation usually gives guests the impression of what your wedding will be like.

When getting a photographer make sure you hire a professional. It’s kind of expensive but I assure you that it’s worth it. This way you can be sure that all your wedding moments will be captured beautifully!

Couples Halloween Costumes

Posted on Monday, September 6, 2010 in dating

For costume and themed parties, many couples choose to coordinate their costumes. You can get creative and have a lot of fun with couples oufits for any costume party, whether it’s Halloween time or not. The more original, the better, but here are a few pairs costume ideas to get you rolling.

One creative and fun costume idea is to emulate a famous couple. You’re sure to be the hit of the Halloween party and receive a lot of compliments (and maybe laughs), by dressing as a historical, royal or celebrity couple. Choose a couple that you and your partner resemble or are fans of. If you are considering going as people involved in current events or pop culture icons. There’s a good chance that you won’t be the only couple to have thought of it.

A fun twist on this is to switch costumes, with the man dressing as the female and the woman dressing as the male. Even couples that aren’t specific or famous work well with this idea. For instance, the woman could dress as a football player, while the man wears a cheerleading uniform. People who know you well will find it especially funny if you’re able to come up with characters that have some connection to who you are in real life.

Connected outfits are sure to be a humorous hit as well. Costumes like horses and other animals, in which the couple is essentially sharing the same costume are very popular. Most can be purchased at any costume shops or sewn yourselves with enough skill and time.

Going as a ventriloquist act is another great idea for couples. One person, the ventriloquist, wears a buttoned jacket and bow tie. The other goes as the dummy by painting straight lines on either side of their mouth and wearing a similar jacket and bow tie. You could even work out a short routine to perform at the party. The ventriloquist could drink a glass of water while the dummy sings, or the dummy could cleverly insult the intelligence of its handler. If you can pull it off, you’ll be the hit of the evening.

With a matching pair of black and white striped jumpsuits and a plastic toy chain, you and a friend could attend the costume party as a pair of escaped convicts. Online or physical costume shops will have the convict jumpsuits. The plastic chain can be made, if a suitable can’t be bought, out of paper or even rope.

You could go as a wrestling duo by wearing matching spandex costumes, capes and other silly items. Bring metal folding chairs and other wrestling objects to carry around with you. You could entertain your fellow party guests by choreographing a few short wrestling matches.

You and your partner could also dress up as your favorite superhero and sidekick duo. Like with the wrestlers costumes, a few pairs of spandex and capes are really all that is needed. You could rent or buy the costumes, or to save some money, you could create your very own superhero characters on your own. Small plastic water guns and homemade nun chucks are easy and affordable crime fighting tools.

With two creative minds thinking about it, you and your partner or friend shouldn’t have any trouble coming up with several ideas for fun couples costumes. Give yourself enough time before the event or party to prepare. And as far as the actual costume goes, choose an idea that is both doable and fun. If the idea seems fun to you, it will be a big hit at the party, whether you go as a crime fighting duo, ventriloquist and dummy or anything else you might dream up.

Preserving An Unpredictable Spousal Partnership

Posted on Sunday, August 29, 2010 in love

It’s so wonderful and awesome to get to marry your ideal man or woman, that’s why when people find the chance, they immediately go for it! Who wouldn’t want to get married to the person whom his or her heart desires? Now, although there are perfect weddings, there are no such things as perfect marriages. Reality bites and it hurts.

A lot of marriages are ending up in divorce nowadays and one the most common reason for this is differences between the couple. Now, differences between a partners may include bad habits that either of the two has – from small things such as snoring during sleep to big issues such as handling the money. These things may seem petty but eventually lead to feelings of hatred and resentment.

One of the most common differences between couples is religion. Religion is a very sensitive topic and if not dealt with properly with an open mind, may result to debates and arguments inside the home. A husband just can’t force his wife to believe what he believes in. And the same thing goes with the wife. She can’t force her husband to come to church with her or attend a women’s meeting and nag at him if he doesn’t.

Another factor concerning broken marriages is problem in communication. Men tend to keep quiet when they are supposed to stand on their ground and speak up for their ladies. And women, struggling to take control of the relationship, nag their husbands incessantly.

Let’s go to another one. Cheating. Nothing gives you the feeling of being stabbed in the back than by being betrayed by your husband or your wife. Most marriages end up as soon as one of both sides discover they are being cheated upon.

Now, no one on his or her wedding day would think “Yes! I am getting married now but after seven years I’m going to file divorce and leave my partner.” And no one can also say that he or she is exempted from facing difficulties in his or her married life.

If you are in a very shaky marriage right now, just hold on and believe that there are people out there who are willing to help you. Ask advice from your parents or people whom you know have a strong marriage. But most of all pray and ask God to show you what you need to do with your situation. It always works!
