There are 100’s of millions of people around the world who are dating or want to be dating, and they all have their own reasons. Most are ultimately looking for companionship, a boyfriend or girlfriend, a serious relationship, a life partner… or just good ol’ fashion sex. Let’s face it, dating is a competitive sport!
No matter what you’re looking for one thing’s for sure, it all starts with dating, and better dating skills will give you better results.
THE GOOD NEWS
The good news is there are people who have studied “the art and the science” of dating. Who have perfected the skills of introduction, flirtation, seduction, courtship and beyond.
There are people who have tested dating methods with principles of psychology and enhanced it with things like body language and NLP skills to take dating to a whole new level.
There are people who have observed and interviewed those who are “masters of the game.”

While there are guides, they are not all created equal. In fact, it’s a mine field of information out there. A lot of it’s good, some is great, and unfortunately much of it is old re-hashed rubbish that didn’t work 20 years ago and sure as hell isn’t going to work today!

MY PHILOSOPHY ON DATING GUIDES
The most common objection I hear about getting a dating guide is “why should I pay for a guide? It should just come naturally and if it doesn’t, I’ll learn along the way.”
Ok, it’s true you might learn along the way. Or you might not. You might just get really good at doing what doesn’t work.
Plus, do you really want to wait until you might get good… or do you want to get good now? Do you want to be dating the person you really want now, or do you want to wait another year or two or five to see if it “happens naturally?”
I make no bones about it. I’ve bought lots of dating guides. I’ve learned from all of them and as corny as it sounds they have helped change my life.
Let’s get real here for just a minute. Dating costs time and money, we all know that. If dating guides can help you to get dating, have fun, and get you what you want whether it’s having some casual fun or finding your dream partner… then dating guides are not only worth the investment, they will save you money!
Here’s another thought. In just about any field… sports, music, corporate or anything else… when people want to improve or excel, they get a coach. Even elite athletes have coaches don’t they? That’s what a dating guide is, it’s your coach. The beauty of it is you don’t even have to tell anyone you’ve got a coach! It can be your secret.

The “Art Of Approaching” Women by Joseph Matthews – Review

Art of Approaching is one of the better guides available, in fact I would say it’s the best of the guides. If you want something better you need to pay for a program with coaching.
Joseph Matthews first wrote the Art of Approaching Women in 2004, originally as a guide to conquer “approach anxiety”, or the fear of approaching women, so a man can finally get in and get a date. So it goes into a lot more depth in regard to conquering fear than other guides. It has also now been expanded and updated into a full blown, no BS guide to approaching, introduction, flirting, seduction and dating. It also now comes with additional bonus books.
WHAT’S GOOD
Pretty much everything is great about this guide. It’s very comprehensive and complete and it’s written in a simple straightforward way, just like us guys like it. The methods are taught in a step by step fashion which makes it easy to understand and really “get it.” I found it easy to implement and even started using some of the techniques within days and with great success.
One thing I really love about this guide is that it starts with empowering us as men even before we focus on the women. I can honestly say this book has boosted my confidence tremendously in all areas of life, not just with women.
Joseph also uses a lot of stories (some very personal) to illustrate his teachings. This helps to us to get a full understanding of his methods and also makes it engaging and entertaining to read which I loved.
I really couldn’t imagine anyone being disappointed with it. Very thorough and definitely great value. Has a money back guarantee.
WHAT’S BAD
The single potential negative I could think of is that Joseph draws a lot of inspiration from his college days when telling stories in this book so older gentlemen may find it a little more difficult to relate. Younger guys will feel right at home.
Believe it or not, I’ve also heard a couple of complaints that there is too much information in this book (350+ pages). Of course that’s just silly, if you’re a slow reader just read the most relevant chapters first and take your time with the rest. It’s all good material.
THE VERDICT
As far as written guides go, this is top shelf and my number one pick. Although I’m a great advocate of getting more than one dating guide to get multiple perspectives and techniques… if you just wanted one guide, this would have to be the one.

How to Become an Alpha Male, or “The Alpha Male System” by John Alexander is quite unique and has it’s own style. What sets it apart is it’s depth and maturity which is a reflection of the author who is not an arrogant “young stud” but a middle aged man who’s experience and wisdom shine through.
In fact he admits to being nothing like an ‘alpha male’ as a younger man. That is something he developed later. The great thing about that is he can teach us that wisdom and show us the fast track to the way of the alpha male.
Rather than focus on the female and how to get her attention, John’s approach is to focus on yourself by becoming the person that females will respond to; the alpha male. The beauty of this is we have so much more control of ourselves than we ever will of someone else. Change your perspective of yourself and you automatically change other peoples perspective of you. It comes from the inside out. It’s very natural and means you never need to ‘act’ or be someone you’re not. It’s a brilliant and very psychologically sound perspective.
WHAT’S GOOD
Basically everything. It’s a well written, intelligent guide with simple and very effective exercises to positively affect your mindset. Apart from transforming you into a very attractive proposition for women, you’ll also experience very positive changes in all social interactions including with men and with groups. It’s quite amazing. Also has a money back guarantee.
WHAT’S BAD
Honestly? Nothing. I could be nit-picky and try to find something but that would just be silly.
THE VERDICT
Although the scope of this guide is not as broad as “The Art Of Approaching”, it is more focused, and it is a close second choice. Probably the most intelligent and psychologically based guide i’ve seen.
Excellent value as a standalone product, or an absolute killer companion to The Art of Approaching. Certainly delivers on all it’s promises.

“Guy Gets Girl” by Tiffany Taylor – Review

Guy Gets Girl is one of the most popular dating guides around today and has sold tens of thousands of copies internationally. It’s main claim to fame or ‘point of difference’ is that it is written for men by a woman.
The Author, Tiffany Taylor wrote the book originally in 2003 but has recently expanded and updated the book. The core book is 63 pages and it comes with bonus books and website membership access, so it’s a complete package.
WHAT’S GOOD
It is a complete package of material, it is updated and you have a lifetime membership. It does have a “different flavor” to most guides because it is largely from a female perspective. It also teaches that “nice guys” can get the girl too, which I guess is good to hear for all the nice guys out there. Has a money back guarantee.
WHAT’S BAD
The main criticism of this book is that it’s a bit “fluffy”, and I have to agree. I guess that’s just Tiffany’s style, and I would have preferred a bit more of a straight forward approach.
THE VERDICT
I rate this as a book well worth having. If you were only getting one guide I’d say this is not the one, but as supplemental material for other guides it’s definitely worth having. It will give you some more perspectives and give a greater understanding of the woman’s viewpoint.
